5Sturdy and ComfortableJun 09, 2008
By C. M. Laufer
When I got ready to get a hammock for our frequent camping trips, I opted for the Texsport La Paz Hammock because it was made of cotton. My previous hammock was a polyester one, and it was very uncomfortable and sweaty.

This hammock is a dream. The material is sturdy, the hammock is light and takes up little space. It comes in a handy travel pouch, and it is very, VERY comfortable for one person, or a petite person with a child. If you are looking for a hammock that will fit 2 adults, you may want to look for another one - even though 2 adults may fit, it will not be comfortable. Otherwise, this hammock is a great deal and great for camping trips due to its light weight and convenient travel pouch.

5Good hammock, terrific valueJun 11, 2009
By G. G. RIVAS "ggrhome"
This was meant to an occaisional use hammock outside my home office (for those critical brainstorming sessions that could only be enabled by swinging with a drink that has an umbrella in it) but it has become a social focus for the family. My kids love it.

It's 10 sec to pull out of my garden bin and hang. 5 sec to put away. If I take it camping it's light and folds compactly. I love it.

4Quality Hammock at an affordable priceApr 21, 2008
By Mitchel Devin
After months of trying to get some sleep (Power Nap) during my lunch break in my car at work and having to deal with the heat or cold and noise outside, I decided to try out this very affordable hammock I saw on Amazon by hanging it between the bars on the bottom of an empty pallet rack in my company's warehouse. The temerature in our warehouse is pretty mild year round. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I admit, the color isn't all that attractive, but the quality and comfort of this hammock is awesome. I am a big guy, 6' 265 Lbs. and I have got say this thing has been supporting me really well for about 3 months now. From the moment I lay down and push off the wall for some swing action, I am out like a light in the first 5 minutes. If it wasnt for my handy dandy watch alarm with snooze, I would probably loose my job... This is a great hammock for the money. You could use it anywhere. Even between the racks in the warehouse at work. You might want to get some ear plugs if you have noisy, pesky warehouse workers though...

5really, 4.5 starsJul 14, 2009
By M. Lai "Aspiring..."
Pros:
all the things the other reviewers said, including:
Sturdy feel, light, convenient, comfortable, and inexpensive.

Cons:
I wanted to a star off for 2 reasons:
1) I bought this after it showed up in a search for a Mayan Hammock (to replace an old one), however, despite of similar style, the hammock itself is clothe, and not of Mayan weave. It is still comfortable, but to be honest, the Mayan weave was better (which is just as inexpensive... except for shipping).

2) You can't beat the price, but it should be noted that this hammock isn't meant to last very long (2~4 years). It's all fine and good, since I'd gladly pay to buy another, but they should note that in the description.

5Exceptional product for the price.Jun 25, 2007
By D. Raatz
Who says you can't buy happiness? I just spent the weekend relaxing in my back yard and reading books to my kids while swinging away in this surprisingly comfortable hammock. The cotton fabric is cool and soft. I even rather liked the yellow, orange and blue stripes. Perhaps Texsport has improved the design. I certainly wouldn't call it ugly. The included extension ropes were all I needed to bridge the thirteen feet from a tree to my kids' wooden play set. Then, the toughest part was finding the most comfortable position. Lying diagonally proved far and away the most comfortable. If you try to lay straight, the hammock cloth wraps around you like an oversized banana peel. (The kids rather liked this.) When I was through relaxing, it took no more than three minutes to take down and fold into the small matching cloth storage bag. All in all, I am delighted with this comfortable, compact and versatile piece of outdoor furniture.
