I was so impressed by this little zen garden - I picked one up as a gift for my boss over my internship, and it looks identical to the picture. I love the space for a tea candle in the corner, and they provide just the perfect amount of sand and rocks. The rake is made out of a very light wood, not plastic, which adds to the all-natural effect. The rocks/sand are all various-colored neutrals, so this won't clash with any room decor you have. I was actually surprised by how heavy the box felt when I got it in the mail; this is a quite durable product.
For the price, this did not feel cheap at all. Unfortunately I don't have a desk in my room, but if I did, you bet I would buy one for myself.

Great little zen garden for the price. One can never have a shortage of peaceful objects in the household. Zen garden looks very peaceful with a tea candle lit at night.

This Zen garden is great!! Arived in great condtion, pared with my misting fountain from mony usa the fountain creates a waterfall that goes great with the rocks and flows over the garden. And put a candle and some relaxation music It creates a spa in your room or home. It does make you feel very Peacefull like your at a spa.

This zen garden is just what I was expecting it to be. The base is sturdy and I like the variety of the sand with the pile of rocks and candle holder. The only thing that I have trouble with is keeping the sand inside the area when I rake it, but that is more my lack of skill than a fault of the product. I had bought a thing of river stones and found flatter ones so to make stacks in the sand rather than the rounder ones that came with this. Excellent product for the price - doesn't seem cheap at all!

The zen garden looks great! the rock that has the word 'zen' on it is much smaller than the one I received (it doesn't fit in the sand, but I put it in the rocky area and it looks fine). The candle holder fits a tea-lite candle and the darker rock is flat bottomed to sit evenly on the sand. My only complaint is that the word 'zen' on my rock looks like it was painted on and someone messed up a little because it is slightly smuged.
