Great guitar with great priceNov 15, 2009

Great looking guitar almost identical to the one that came with Guitar Hero 3. Guitar seems well constructed and sturdy. We bought a second guitar for our Wii system. So far we have tested it with Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero Smash Hits, Guitar Hero 5, Lego Rock Band, Beatles Rock Band, Band Hero, and Rock Band Country Track Pack and the guitar works perfectly with all. We've had it for a couple of weeks now and are very pleased with it. Great product and great price.

NOT Compatible With Rock Band!!!Nov 12, 2008
By K. L. Miller This is one sweet looking guitar, but it fails in that it is NOT compatible with Rock Band. Only Activision axes are compatible and they are only currently available with the bundle. Or else wait for the Cross Play Guitar adapter due out sometime this year. It does play well with GH3 and I actually prefer it than the one bundled with the game. This guitar is good to show off to your mates but dont make the mistake I did and expect RB to work with it!

Compatible with Rock Band Beatles!Sep 17, 2009
By Glenn A. Buskirk I am happy to confirm that this guitar does indeed work with (Wii) Rock Band Beatles. I took a chance on it based on some information I found on the Rock Band website, and received the guitar today. It works fine. The guitar is also of better quality than the Xbox 360 Guitar Hero guitar we have, or the PS/2 guitar we have. I think it's a good value at the best Amazon pricing.

Better than originalSep 02, 2009
By Milleria I recently bought GH3 for wii, which came with a guitar. This guitar has the exact same feel as the original - even the raised line on the yellow key is identical. The shape is slightly different, and the strap attaches in a slightly different place, but this is not noticeable. Even after getting used to the original guitar, I cannot even tell which one I'm holding unless I check the label. Unlike the other reviewer, I do not find the strap comes loose while playing.
A few days after using the original guitar that came with the game it was already starting to not work as well - the yellow key would not work occasionally (apparently a design flaw in the original guitar with the neck not connecting well enough with the body of the guitar). However, I am yet to experience any problems like that on this guitar.
Highly recommended. 1/3 the price of the original guitar, and works equally well/better.

NOT full sizeSep 20, 2009
By Lee Hartshorn Be warned that this is a mini-version guitar. Thankfully my wife will use it, but even she prefers the regular size one. Probably good for kids, but skip it if you're an adult....
