This is a very pretty candle lantern with red glass sides. The glass looks true red in sunlight, and a somewhat diluted red with a real tea light. If you use a battery operated tea light, however, the color transforms to a deep amber. For Christmas then, you need a real candle inside, although after the holidays the amber is actually a very attractive color. This is smaller than many of the Moroccan candle lanterns, with an interior space that is only about one and a half tea lights wide, so you can fit only one tea light in it. Because it is small, it is good for tabletop use.

I purchased five of these lanterns to have my bridesmaid's carry at my wedding this summer. I am quite please with the lanterns! They are detailed and simply great quality! Would absolutely recommend.

Don't waste your money. Cheap and very poor quality. I was very disappointed with this item, it is much smaller then you imagine. I have found others of much nicer quality and roughly same price at Pier One and Cost Plus.
