I am wondering what I did before I had this little handy gadget. I use this holding tool for more than when using the grinder. I also find it handy for repositioning a glass piece that I am tinning - though I am concerned that if I am not careful I may melt the plastic - but so far I have not. Ofcourse it works for use at the grinder but at times I feel like I need more freedom of movement than it gives me in order to follow a curve...so I don't always use it, but I like having the option.

I do love this product. What a finger saver. I use it all the time. It will not, however, hold very small pieces nor beads.

This item saved my fingers. Prior to having it my finger would get torn up on the grinder when working with small pieces. Not anymore! It even works well with larger pieces - improving your control & amount of pressure that you apply to the glass. It has enabled me to work for longer periods of time.
Durable & easy to clean. Anyone who works with stained glass should pick one up!
