The other review implied the description wasn't correct. Well, what I received was just what was described! It's not a collectible by any stretch, but it doesn't say that it is! It's just a cute, inexpensive night light. The moon has a "broken" appearance because it looks like it's intentionally a crackled effect. This is a very pretty light, and for the price is perfect for my 3 year old granddaughter's room.

This lamp is very pretty especially when lit up in a dark room. YEs there are places in the moon which might be perceived as "cracked" but they are just part of the design and you really don't notice them unless you go looking for them. My fairy has a beautiful face and features and I am very pleased with the overall quality and value. I collect fairies so this was a gift for me from my sweet husband, but my 6 year old niece loved it as well. Would make a great gift for almost any little girl.

There is nothing collectible about this cheap looking fairy lamp. Not only was the delivery, weeks late (Birthday Gift) but the fairy's face came dirty & the moon she's sitting on looks broken in different areas.

It's a sturdy, pretty night light with a heavy base, but it looks in the picture as if the whole moon lights up in a uniform manner, and it does not.
There's a night light bulb that sticks up in the base, as you can see in the photo. You can see it clearly in person as well. The light does not reach up past the fairy, so the part of the moon that curves over her head is not lit. That means in the dark you cannot see the fairy's face, and you do not get the full effect of a glowing moon, either.

I bought this for my 4 yr old daughter, who is pretty particular on the night lights she does and doesn't like. As soon as I pulled this out of the box, she loved it. It's pretty and bright, but not too bright for her to sleep, and she loves the fairy. Definitely a keeper for us.
