This candle lantern has glass sides to protect a flame from wind. The glass is clear with a minimal painted white design that looks like a strand of ivy. The almost entirely clear glass allows maximum light. It will hold four tea lights. The top metal design of the dome is pretty. Unfortunately, the lanterns are not as solidly constructed as some. I ordered two of these, and one will have to be returned. Of the six glass panels on that one, only three were in place. One had fallen out, and two were missing entirely. In the one I am keeping, the glass panels are loose. Still, a pretty, decorative item.

We did a nautical theme for our wedding last summer. I saw these online for such a great price and thought they would be perfect for what we were looking for. We ordered 10 and when they arrived the glass was cracked on two of them. I called and they shipped two more no questions asked right away. Great customer service and everyone thought they were ao creative at the wedding (we tied the ropes with a navy ribbon and had navy candles inside).

Not bad. I am sure in low light of a reception hall it will work just fine. Usual stamped metal bent to form a lantern shape and then powder coated. For the price it will work as needed. I certainly wont be walking the woods with a candle inside after the wedding so for it's short life it'll work out well. If you are wanting something a little more elegant, skip it. There are gaps where the stamped metal was bent like origami and the powder coat "fattened" the smaller cuts in the metal to the point of almost covering them up. But, nobody will scrutinize this at the reception. Just wanted to point out what you'll find pulling it out of the box. But for the price and what it is, you can't go wrong.

There was a dime sized smudge of paint smack dab in the center of the glass. There is no way to get it off unless you scratch up the glass. Also, one of the glass windows had fallen out, luckily it didn't break during shipping. I also ordered the white lattice lantern to see which I liked better for my wedding before ordering a bunch, and the white lattice is definitely a better choice.

It is also larger than we were expecting. I was not sure about it, so even I need two, I bought one first. When I put it in place, it was so nice and cute then I was sure to order another. Now both of them are hanging from the ceiling, which were just what I was looking for.
