Mason Pearson Sensitive- Not all that greatJan 03, 2012
By Moon Well, after months of research I gave in and bought this brush for my fine-thin hair. I not only read reviews from users, but watched videos and looked into the history and make of this brush. It sounded fantastic and I finally just bought it.
My first impression is that the brush is very well made. The handle is lovely and the bristles do not fall out. It comes with a brush cleaner which is pretty ordinary but does what it should. This is the reason I gave it two stars.
Now, as far as the performance of the brush itself, it is very average. Yes, it felt "good" against my scalp but not much different from other quality boar brushes that retail at $20.00. After brushing there was plenty of hair that still came out of my head and if you are looking for volume...the only one I got was from all static in my hair. Otherwise the hair on the top part of my head lay flatter than usual unless it was standing in the air.
I really wish I had not spent $100 for this brush. I would have maybe spent $25, and that would only be for the "massage" feel and how attractive the brush is.

A cherished necessity.Oct 08, 2011
By MaryMB I have owned a Mason Pearson for 30 years! Yes the SAME one. It was $100 thirty years ago and will certainly be with me for years to come. I highly recommend them!

exactly what i was looking forJan 03, 2012
By pbrow It was perfect! It had the exact intended affect I wanted it to have. I have no clue why my wife wanted a brush that cost this much but i dont care. My wife doesnt ask me why my tools cost me so much so I dont care why hers cost so much. I will order the bigger one next year.

Mason Pearson BrushJan 29, 2012
By Jude I was extremely pleased with both Amazon and the product I was able to purchase through their website. Mason Pearson brushes have a marvellous reputation and are of a quality that lasts for 20+ years. I chose the Sensitive Boar Bristle Hair Brush because my hair is thining and I felt that brushing would stimulate some growth. I am now going to purchase suitable brushes for my grand daughters who both have lush wavey hair. Contact with Amazon was excellent:the price was very competitive; the purchase arrived on time in good order.

Great BrushJan 10, 2011

The Mason Pearson brush is every bit as good a brush as I had heard. The surprise was in the beauty of the brush itself. The handle is almost sculptural, and I plan to leave it atop my vanity instead of in the drawer where I have always kept my brushes. It is just a pleasure to look at it as well as use it!
