5GREAT CARRY CASEMay 13, 2010

First of all, this is for the original Leapster or Leapster-2. Not for the L-Max. We got this as a gift from a relative, but our son had a L-max at the time. So we couldn't use it. A year later we got the Leapster 2 LeapFrog Leapster 2 Learning Game System - Green so we got the case out of storage and used it for the new Leapster 2. It offers great PROTECTION for the unit. Our 5yo can open and close it without any problems. It can store 4 games. Three in the bottom, and one left in the unit, which will fit nicely at the top of the case. You could put one or two cartridges more on top of the unit, but I don't recommend it. You could scracth the screen of the unit by doing so. So better don't do it. We feel 4 games in the case is enough for him to take with him where ever he goes. I usualy just let him take 2, sometimes 3 games with him. The rest we keep in a separate Zip-lock bag (for now). He has a total of 6 games now. At home he just keeps all the games in the Zip-lock, and only the one that he's playing with stays in the case. Works fine. We don't feel a for more storage. I also like the nice bright green color. Most of all, I like the PROTECTION it provides to the unit. GREAT PRODUCT! But in case you need more space take a look at the LeapFrog Leapster Messenger Bag.

3Leapster CaseJan 02, 2010
By Kathryn E. Robinett
Santa brought my daughter the Leapster 2 and it's case, but I'm a bit disappointed in the case. It is durable but the way it holds 3 games is not that great. They don't "fit" in like I'd hoped and the band barely holds them in. I don't see how it would hold four games like the description says. They could have easily made something better to hold the games in. Every time she opens the case, her games fall out. All in all, I'd still buy the case to have something to keep it all together, I just think they could have made it a little bit better.

This is a nice durable case. However, I wish it had the ability to hold more cartridges. The Leapster 1 game case held 6 games this one only holds 3.

2no room for gamesFeb 03, 2011

This case is nice for the unit itself but has barely any space for games. It has a band that doesn't secure the games so when you open it they all fall out. I can get the leapster in it fine but my 4 year old can't because you have to get it in here perfectly to zip. It's impractical for the age of the kids that will use this and if your kid loves games move on because this won't hold more than 4 (and if you squeeze more in they'll be all over the place).

3Leapster game caseDec 28, 2009

I personally don't think this is the best case for the leapster. Even though it protects it, it falls out when my son is opening up the case. The leapster is not tight to anything. There is a band but seems to be for games not the leapster itself.
