5Cute Key HolderFeb 15, 2010

Turned out to be really cute. Bought to put in front of the house to hide an extra key but it was so cute, we set it up in the backyard so it could be seen better.

5Frog Key KeeperApr 24, 2011

Great product as described. I liked that this was all metal and a heavy little item. Large enough for a key to your home.

I ordered this product for my mother who has parkinson's and her ability to move is not great. I am very pleased with it. It allows for the fire department or any other person to gain axcess to my mother in the event she has an emergency.

3It's OK - but pretty obvious that it hides a keyApr 12, 2012

I bought this for our apartment (we rent an apartment in an old huge Victorian home that has been converted into apartment units so we have our own private entrance from the outside. Based on the picture I thought the top of the frog actually slid to the side so you could put the key in but after it arrived I realized it is actually in two completely separate pieces. The pieces do not light up perfectly so the frog looks a little awkward sitting in the garden next to our door. All in all it still serves its purpose for providing a key in case we should lock ourselves out or not have one on us but I did think it would be slightly more discreet.

1Wonderful Idea, terrible implementationApr 21, 2012

The design is adorable, but as other reviewers (after my purchase unfortunately) noted, the frog is in two pieces that don't actually even align correctly to make it appear solid or even stay connected naturally. Do not be misled into thinking it 'opens up' or even 'snaps together'. Even if you seal the poor thing somehow (super glue, rubber cement, or similar) to keep it from falling apart the first time a visitor, neighbor, stray animal or similar touch it, the compartment inside will clearly rattle indicating something is inside, making it less than covert.

Your best bet is to wrap any contents to muffle them, then seal it so it better fakes being one piece, but that removes any hope of easy access and makes it more like an 'in case of emergency break glass' sort of deal. If you're looking for a product you expect to use regularly this probably is not the answer. I've glued mine together and am using it as a decoy at this point.
