But I have to say it still pretty much rocks. So here's the thing, what Marcella said in her review was pretty much the case with my dragon. What looks like a geode isn't, and that really wasn't a huge surprise to me considering what I paid for it. (Though even at that price it could easily have been a slice of geode inlaid into the polyresin. The biggest issue I have with that is that the paint and glitter have been fairly sloppily applied. There is a bit of glue that needs removing spang in the middle of the thickest glitter, and the color of the paint is a blue green which doesn't work too well with the bright emerald green of the glitter. The manufacturer would have done better to stick with the iridescent glitter that is spread lightly over the better part of the "geode" area. I'm pretty handy so fixing this to suit myself isn't going to be a huge problem.
What I love about the figure is the dragon itself. It's bold. It has personality and terrific energy, and if I find the polyresin finish a bit flat, that's okay, it can be fixed, too. The figure itself is something I couldn't have done, and that's what makes it really special. I'll be working on this in the future, with faux finishes and acrylic paints, and probably some crystals. And I think it'll rock even more when I'm finished.
However if you're not artsy, and you're expecting something that's really extraordinary, consider the price and look elsewhere. This is still essentially a cheap figure.

So this wasn't exactly what I expected as I got it. The "emerald-like crystals" are really just glitter set in an indentation in the "geode?" I'm not sure what it is, but I'm pretty sure its not rock but whatever they put in the depression doesn't even sit flush with the sides and was obviously glued in there as I can see bits of the glue along the sides. There was also a little glue I had to pick off parts of the dragon. The dragon looks really good, but I am disappointed with the geode part. I bought this for my boyfriend and I told him that I would try and paint the parts behind the glitter to try and blend it in. My boyfriend still likes it, so I'm ok with the purchase but overall I'm not really happy. Though the transaction went fine and I received it sooner than expected, I was happy about that. As far as pleasing a collector... I'm sure a collector can find something a little better quality than this.

I got this for my boyfriend and he liked the dragon but he did not like the green glitter. He said that he is going to air brush it.

Should be aware that the "geode" is in fact plastic molding covered in paint and glitter that looks really cheap up close. That sums it up rather well. From a distance it looks alright but up close it is obviously cheap. Do not make this the centerpiece of any collection of anything. Now considering the fact that it only costs about $10, I'd say that you're getting what you payed for.
