Poorly built, had to buy parts to fix it!!!Jul 26, 2011

Bought this for my mother because my cat broke her paper towel holder last week. She has roosters in the kitchen so I thought it would be cute. It is a really good looking rooster, but poorly made product. It is plastic and the rod is just barely glued in. Once you pull off a paper towel you end up with the whole thing in your hands. I had to go to the craft store to buy a good dow rod (even the rod was glued together pieces) and I drilled a hole through the bottom and screwed it together so that it will stop falling apart. I only paid $12.00, and had free shipping on my Amazon prime, but even $12 was expensive for a plastic rooster that needed fixed! The pictures make it look like it is a stronger material. Anyhow, great product if you are wanting to match your roosters, but be prepared to have to fix it, get yourself a dow and a screw now.

This Rooster Paper Towel Holder has a poor design. The wooden dowel in the center is attached to a nut recessed in the top of the base. The nut is not glued in securely and the dowel will detach from the base with the nut. What the manufacturer should have done was make a hole for the screw go through the entire base and recess the bottom of the base for the nut. I do not recommend this item!

THE STICK PART IS POORLY MADE. IT DOES NOT EVEN STAY IN PLACE, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. I HAD TO GLUE THE HOLDER ON TO STAY IN PLACE.

This is JUNK! I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT!! the two part pole is suposed to screw in & then there is NO WAY to conect the pole to the rooster!! the notches that are suposed to like up on the bottom of the rod to the rooster dont match up! the two parts of the pole that are suposed to hook together dont match up!!! junk! DONT WAS YOUR MONEY!!

The product would have been great but the center holder is glued into the base and it came out the day after it arrived. Why not do it right the first time and bolt into or through the base. This is now a fix it product. [...]
