They are very cool to look at, but just too light for bookends. I f you buy, make sure your books are stacked fairly stable as these won't stand up to a lot of weight leaning on them.

They're pretty cool, but when I got them in the mail, I was surprised how light they were. I guess for only paying 20 bucks though, they wouldn't be ceramic.

Ok for a kids room... for kids who like pirate stuff. My son (7) liked it, but I wouldnt get it for a young adult or anyone who likes detailed book ends based on pirate or LOTR themed items or similiar stuff. Fast delviery.
