The photo probably made you (because it made me) expect carefully-carved lines and a fine, glassy surface; but don't be tricked.
The white lines are quickly carved and have pointy ends,
The black paint looks like it is painted long after the vase was finished (it looks like an independent layer and doesn't fit),
And the surface has a texture that resembles raw clay; it is definitely not glassy.
Overall, this is a cheaply done vase, but because of it's bigness (roughly 12 inches in circle diameter), it's probably worth $10.

I have to disagree with L.Ardilla Voladora "L.Ard".
The decorative vase looks much better then the picture. It is not glossy like glass, but it does have a semi-shine to it. You have to remember the description DOES say it's wood. I didn't expected it to look shiny. The leaf etching is very nice. I am very impressed with the quality of the vase. I would buy this again.

this Vase for less than $14.00, I decided to take a chance............it paid off :-)

I am very happy with this product. It was delivered soon after ordering and in good condition. I thought it was dark brown from the picture, but it's actually black. It's beautiful in black though. I highly recommend it.

Cheap,Arrived split in half, chiped where it split,. I'm going to try to glue it back together since i really don't want to mail it back. The vase looks nice in the pic sorry i bought this!
